This has been around a long time - I first posted about it in April
'98. That was specifically in wrt to USR modems (Courier 33.6)
dialing into a PM3, but I've since seen the same thing dialing in with
Zoom modems, Hayes/Rockwell, and Hayes/Lucent modems.
