You can, though you need to be careful with .0 and .255. All the route
does is tell other hosts that the PM3 is the gateway for that particular
block of 64 addresses. The addresses just happen to be arranged in a way
that allows them to be aggregated into a single route. An aggregate route
and a subnet route look the same to other hosts, but they do different
things in the end.
As an example, look at the routes your PM3 is announcing right now. You
probably have /28 and /29 "subnets" in which the network and broadcast
addresses are being used.
