The first time I saw one of these, I think I slowed it down to 14400 and got
it to reliably connect. Somewhere in the version info it said beta and it
seems like it was a version number of less than 1. I suggested and the
customer was able to get the place from which they bought the computer to
switch it out with a functional modem.
Recently, I saw another one of these with build 62 and entered ATB18 for a
connection at 288/264 (upload, download, I think). Motorola, 800-544-0062,
requested that the customer call to see if they could make it work any
better. I don't think the customer has called.
