Yell at the phone co. We see maybe one sync loss on a PM3 every 3
months, normally when a tech is doing maint on the fibre between where our
spans go to and the switch they are backhauled to.

As folks might have suspected, not much survives except roaches,
and they don't carry large enough packets fast enough...
