Hello Stephen
New modem code is on its way, but it is just not quite here yet, but they
have all these nice extra features in ComOS 3.9 which are here now, so we
might as well release 3.9 with the code we have now (from 3.8.2) and release
an interim release of ComOS 3.9 as soon as we can release the newer modem
code.
I am not based in engineering, but this sounds sensible to me :-)
