Only to your sanity as you read the show modems command output.

You will have modems

M0..M7
M10..M17
and
M20..M29

The first digit is the slot number, the second the modem number on the card.

The Portmaster would be happy if you plugged the new card into slot 6
(but I don't recommend it).
