We are doing this now. It requires NO changes on the PM side even if you
are running CT1. You may want to turn off port limit in your radius, if
you are using it. Or set it to 2, so your ISDN users can have dual
channel.
-| Do I need to upgrade the CT1's to ESF & B8ZS to do 64K Channels
AFAIK, CT1's cannot do 64k channels. Period. MZ did mention in the past
that _some_ very rare equipment could do 64k DOV, but that it's rare, and
to almost forget about it.
-| What is the preferred, "inexpensive" TA or ISDN Modem to use in this situation
-| What is the "REAL" preferred TA or ISDN Modem
Any TA works well with the PM3 AFAIK, as long as it supports the DOV
feature. Also referred to as:
DOV == Data Over Voice
DOSBS == Data Over Speech Bearer Service
Toll Mizer == Same as above basicly...
-| For Home use and Lan use.
I've used the following with no problems. In fact, i havent had any
problems with any TA i've tried.
3com Impact IQ
USR Sportster 128K
Netgear RT328
Netgear RH348
By far, the netgear units are much more feature rich, and for
price/features combination, they cant be beat.
