:Has anyone with this combination of equipment had problems with users
:occassionaly not being able to login? The user gets a message to the effect
:of "unable to negotiate a compatible set of protocols". If I telnet into
90% of the time, this is the client.
:the PM2 and do a "reset s(x)" on any and all of the effected ports they are
:able to login just fine. I'm not sure if it's a PM2 problem, or a USR
:problem. I'm using at&f1s0=1s2=255s25=0s53=0s67=80s68=3s69=3*v=5 for the
:init string. It seems to happen every couple of days. To minimize the
:occurances of this I try and reset all the modems daily. Definitely not an
:ideal solution. Any comments or suggestions?
Hrm, Im not very familiar with the mp8i and its optimum init string... Why
dont you set the ppp debug on and watch it when the next guy starts having
problems. It sounds like they are connecting but pap negotiation is failing
for some reason which usually doenst have anything to do with the modems.
