:channel. You can have ESF/B8ZS robbed-bit channels, which (obviously) is
:what GTE is giving you if it's working. On clear channel DS1 your PM
:would have no way of a) knowing when to answer a call b) knowing *how* to
:answer a call or c) any of the digit-related signaling on the T1. Again,
:clear channel T1 will NOT work on a PM3.
I believe you are correct. It is understood that the hardware and
programming to operate on clear channel must be different because the call
data is brought in differently.
The places I see clear channel used is on a single 64k line feeding a 64k
capable csu/dsu like the Bat EZ65/64k or the Adtran 56/64, that then feeds a
router. I wonder, if the pm 3 could accept a v.35 connection from a csu/dsu
capable of accepting 64k clear channels, would it work?
