Gotta love archives! BTW, this is from my saved messages ... doesn't

Some modems do not like the +ms=12,1,34000,40000 init string, you might
try:
+ms=V90,1,34000,40000 or just the +ms=V90 or just +ms=12 usually one of
these will work.

Thanks for everybody's help on this. When things don't seem to go
like
they should go out and do it yourself. I was able to get the modem going
by
forcing it into KFlex and limiting the speed to 44K. It struggled with
some
of the commands but seems to like +ms=k56,,,,,44000
Appreciate your help, the list has been a lifesaver.

output

We have had some success with AT&F S37=0 S38=19 Which takes it out of V.90
and puts the speed at 33.6. Maybe this will help you.

[The following text is in the "iso-8859-1" character set]
[Your display is set for the "US-ASCII" character set]
[Some characters may be displayed incorrectly]

For V.34 Only:
+MS=V34

For V.90 and regulating speed:
+MS=V90,1,75,33600,75,44000

33600 is the maximum upstream and 44000 is the max downstream

For FLEX and regulating speed:
+MS=K56,1,75,33600,75,44000

There ya go! :)...gotta love the new batch of POS modems!!!
