(PM) Quick Questions About Padding

I know that problems with line padding can cause slow connection speeds.
However, I'm wondering how else padding could affect things.

Specifically, with channelized T1's...

Can incorrect padding on the T1 line cause...

1) Disconnects?

2) Retrains?

3) Slow throughput despite a higher connect speed?

Also...

I know I've seen posts saying that line padding settings can vary from
telco to telco as to what works for various ISP's, but I've also seen alot
of posts saying that they had the best luck with padding set to 0.

Is 0 the best padding level I could ask the telco for? Is that working
for everyone else out there?
