(PM) [OT] Compatible Pagers

Well, it looks like I finally have to break down and get a %&#$@ pager.
Since I'm going to have one, it may as well be able to receive
messages from network monitoring packages. I know that there are
several different "types" of paging systems... Any advice / pros and
cons from those of you who are using pagers for notification?
