The manual and the release notes are good places.

Very likely. Sub-interfacing is a kludge to work around various issues.
I wouldn't recommend ever using more than one subinterface. People often
use subinterfaces when they should be using a proper subnetting and
routing network design instead.

Logicaly constraining the bandwidth into narrower channels? That has
nothing to do with subinterfaces. That isn't even possible on any
Livingston equipment.
