Even i too got one answer from the mailing list (As u said there
is a big problem here on the mailing server)
3) What is the alternate suggestion if i can not use AT
> commands on location table (scripts) on PM3 (PRI/Digital modem
setup )
> (somebody specified on the mailing list)
What AT commands do you need to use? There should not be any
needed for the
PM to dail correctly if the location options are set up
correctly.
We need to do this, otherwise our tool has to be modified a lot...
Example :
Portmaster 2e> sh loc 341756
Location: 341756 Type: Manual
Destination: 172.20.102.17 Netmask: 255.255.255.255
Protocol: PPP Options: Quiet, Compression
Input Filter: prod.in Output Filter:
Group: 0 Max Ports: 1
Idle Timeout: 2 minutes High Mark: 0 bytes
Mtu: 1500 Async Map: 00000000
Dial Script: Send Command Wait for Reply
------------------------------
------------------------------
ATDT8w4014443448\r CONNECT
\r ogin:
Pinsite\r assword:
xyz\r
This example is on PM2 which is on our existing setup... The below part
is the script.
We might be able to specify the telephone number on PM3 location table
(since there is an option in pm3 loc table) but rest of the things has
to be on the AT script... This give us a lot of flexibility...
Will it work if i configure the same script on PM3 location
table and hence there is no modification required on our dialup tool....
?
Pls let me know....
tia

Shibu
