No, there's no single setting that works for any particular switch type
that I know of.

I do know that:

on 5ESS with PRI's, 0dB has worked well for us.
on DMS100 with CT1's, 0dB was terrible. We switched to PRI at 0dB and
it has gotten a lot better.
on 5ESS with CT1, 0dB is pretty bad too.

At least in our environments, CT1 in 5ESS or DMS100 has not given us
good results - I suspect if I played with the padding some more this
might have improved but these were with an ILEC and just being able to
talk to a switch engineer is a big challenge. We've seen good results
on CT1 in some stromburg (sp?) and carlson (sp?) switch environments.

Everybody recommends that you just try different combinations at the
switch until you get to a setting that you like. I don't like it but
that's the best we can do with PM3 at this point.
