Some time ago, not knowing the above, I successfully shifted a PM2E "up"
two addresses without rebooting. It had been starting at ....30 for some
reason; I moved it to ....32. (Not for OSPF reasons, but because I thought
I might someday want to treat 1..31 specially.) On this machine, the pool
size was not set.

I watched what it did: it quickly used the two "new" IPs at the top of the
pool; it never again used ...30 or ...31 (I made the change when neither
30 nor 31 was in use, which may well have helped.)

This was a now-archaic ComOS version (then-archaic, for that matter)...I
have not tried this trick with 3.7.2.
