This got escalated to me this morning, we have a customer using a Zoom
v.34i modem. Tech's have already determined he has the latest drivers.

At the POP he's at we're running CT1's with AMI & D4. We're using a mess
of PM3's with 3.8.2 and a PM4 with 4.1b15.

Basically he can't connect at all, it always says "You have been
disconnected by the computer you dialed".

This POP is at a SuperPOP at a local CLEC (Pacwest). We are also a
MegaPOP customer who is ALSO at this POP, calling into their numbers
yields the same results. MegaPOP also uses PM3's and PM4's at this
location too, just like we do.

If I have the customer call long distance into a older 28.8 modem pool
using USR Sportsters and PM2's, it works fine.

If I have the customer call into the ISP in the cabinet next to me at this
POP it works fine. They are using Ascend Max 4048's. Of course it
doesn't verify passwords right. Needless to say this pisses me off when
stuff like this happens.

The init string the tech's have him using is :

&F&C1&D2S95=44+MS=11,1,14400,28800%C1&K3

Does anyone have any ideas on this one before I pass him off to Accounting
so he can get a refund check?

Regards,

Joe
