(PM) OT: Odd uses for old PM2's

HI

Here's what I am wondering about.

I have a customer who has an old SCO Unix 3.2 system (no Ethernet support
installed) that they need to be able to access from the Internet.
Currently they are dialing into it via modem, about $1K per month long
distance.

They have 256K Dedicated Access and an Ethernet Network.

Could I???
Use a null modem cable between the serial port on the Unix PC and S1 on the
PM.
S1 would have a static ip address
E0 would have a static ip address

Then what do I do? does the nix box need to log into the PM? or would I
be able to telnet to the S1 address and access the nix box?

Then on the client side, they will need a ppp equivalent to the James River
Group ICE10 product, to use with their ISP.

If not, any other ideas??? I only need to do this for about two months so
if I spend thousands, it will not be cost effective.

JOhn :}
