It appears that a very good routing software for Linux (and *nix in
general) is Zebra: http://www.zebra.org/ It knows practically all the
important routing protocols, and works much better than its predecessors.
And, BTW, if you know Cisco, you'll be shocked: Zebra's CLI is almost a
clone of the Cisco CLI! Very neat...
