On a PM3 running ComOS 3.8.2 with a single PRI we just started
experiencing many retrains on analog calls. ISDN calls are fine.
The PRI appears clean:
---------------------- line0 - T1 Primary Rate ISDN ---------------
Status: UP Framing: ESF Encoding: B8ZS PCM: u-law
Receive Level: +2dB to -7.5dB
Alarms Violations
----------------------------- -----------------------------
Blue 0 Bipolar 0
Yellow 0 CRC Errors 0
Receive Carrier Loss 0 Multiframe Sync 0
Loss of Sync 0
and yet we get retrains:
Mdm Port Status Speed Compression Protocol Calls Retrain Disconnect
--- ---- ------ ----- ----------- -------- ------ ------- ------------
M0 ADMIN UNKNWN NONE NONE 3 6 CIRCUIT DISCONNECT
M1 ADMIN UNKNWN NONE NONE 1 11 NORMAL
M2 ADMIN UNKNWN NONE NONE 2 1 CIRCUIT DISCONNECT
M3 S9 ACTIVE 9600 NONE LAPM 1 6 NORMAL
M4 S4 ACTIVE 42000 V42BIS LAPM 1 0 NORMAL
M5 S5 ACTIVE 28800 V42BIS LAPM 1 2 NORMAL
M6 S8 ACTIVE 26400 V42BIS LAPM 1 1 NORMAL
M7 READY UNKNWN NONE NONE 0 0 NORMAL
M8 READY UNKNWN NONE NONE 0 0 NORMAL
M9 READY UNKNWN NONE NONE 0 0 NORMAL
This snapshot was taken after being up only 23 minutes.
I swapped out the modem card, and also downed the first 10 modems
to make sure it wasn't the slot itself. But we still get numerous
and frequent retrains.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

P.S. I get the digest, so please reply directly to me.
