We've been running 3.8.2c2 on two PM3s for about 18 hours. We haven't
had any calls from customers either way (good or bad). We've been
extremely fortunate in having very few modem problems all
along--either the customers' pieces of junk work fine, or they're
connecting slowly but the users don't notice. :-)

Here are the numbers from one of our monitoring scripts:

Average connection > 28.8: 44.1 (33 channels)
Average connection > 19.2: 40.3 (42 channels)
Average connection: 39.8 (43 channels)

"Average connection > 28.8" means the average across all connections
with speeds > 28.8.

Subjectively, it looks like the speeds overall are faster (right now I
have one 54.7 and a fistful of 52.0s) with fewer retrains and
renegotiations. The > 28.8 average has always run around 40-42, so 44
could be an indication that speeds really are faster overall.

I'm very happy with it, so far.
