Looks like a Lucent winmodem (filename for the upgrade is 520something...
and 5.20 is an old Lucent driver version. If the customer has an even
older driver installed it's no wonder he can't connect.
http://808hi.com/56k/x2-lucent.htm is a comprehensive site when it comes
to the Lucent winmodem, send the customer there and have them grab the
5.44 update from there instead.
