Usually, if I can stay on for 10 minutes, I can stay on for as long as I
like. For example, I have been on about eleven minutes now, and I've
had four, now five, renegotiations. I connected at 45333/19200, and now
I'm down to 38666/19200. Usually the uplink speed stays the same. This
afternoon, I trained all the way down to 16800/19200. Looking at our
logs, I've actually trained all the way down to 7200 before
disconnecting. I usually connect at 44000 or 45333.
Interesting. My speed just jumped back up to 45333, yet the PM3 is not
reporting either an additional retrain or renegotiation via SNMP (I have
a pause of about 15 seconds while this happened).
I have also experienced a complete retrain lockup, where the modems
retrained forever. After about 3 minutes, I had to power cycle my modem
to get it back.
