(PMOD) USR Question-

I upgraded a few days ago to 3.8.2c2 on 3 PM3's. Some people's
connections broke, but I think we're handling that... my question is this.
MY computer at home has a USR Sportster 56K EXT modem on it. I ran 3COM's
update utility and upgraded the modem to the latest USR firmware, but then
the modem refused to connect. I went from an everyday expected 40K+
connection to struggling for a 28000 connection. (28000?) I lost my ATI
notes, but can get that. I tried some init strings that had been posted
here, and they'd make it seem better for one call, then no good the
next...

Has anyone done this to themselves and fixed it?
