Re: (PMOD) Modem slow-down with 3.8.2c2

I actually tried using various &Uxx&Nxx init strings with this modem to
limit the ceiling, but for some reason, it doesn't take them. It
continues to connect at 49,333. I've even tried it with
Hyperterminal--sending it the &F1&Uxx&Nxx strings first,then immediately
doing ATDTXXXXXXX to dial, and still it connects at 49,333. It almost
seems that the modem code for this thing won't take the standard USR AT
commands. It will however take the one that limits it to V.34 (I can't
remember what it is now). I've actually seen two USR modems (different
models) do this, and have never found a fix other than limiting to
V.34. However, &Uxx&Nxx does work with most USR modems. Has anyone
else seen this before. Does anyone know why certain USR modems won't
take &Uxx&Nxx?
