Have you tried forcing it to k56flex mode? Also, they definitely need
the latest firmware revision for the SupraMax, this may apply to the
Express as well
Suggested init string from our experience:
AT&F1E0W2+MS=56k
(if it doesn't take that, try k56 and then 56 -- it's one of the three)
