I concur. Few if any calls and, except for a couple HCF modems that connect
slower, but do connect, and are in the same neighborhhood, it is very
stable. People whose mail would get stuck, probably due to retrains, no
longer call and no one gets disconnected now.

I would just like to thank the engineers at Lucent for the excellent
job they have done with the latest 3.8.2c2 comos for my PM3.

My compliants have dropped off 98%. Customers who had given notice
have changed their minds and renewed their subscriptions. Customers
who were thinking of quitting, have have gone from concerned questions
to emails remarking how they no longer get disconnects and are now
pleased with the service.
Ya that damn Motorola SM56 modem is still haunting me when it rains,
but I no longer cringe when the phone rings.

I was looking at a 3com product for my next box but I think I'll stick
around now too.
