We have tried 1-5 commas and a variety of suggested init strings of of the
unoffical portmaster archive, Ask Mr. Modem and others.
The customer is considering buying a new modem, and now that we know that it
is not a line quality issue (at least not primarily) that isn't too bad.
However it is quite annoying that we can't get it connected. If anyone knows
any tricks, please let me know.
