Yes, sorry to have to say (and do), but it appears we will have to
downgrade to 3.8.2 as well -- primarly due to the USR Voice Win modem
issues mentioned here a couple of days ago.

We are receiving nearly a dozen /new/ complaints daily regarding these 28.8
connect speeds, and have lost another 4 long-time customers just since my
last post. It's beginning to have a statistically significant effect on
our bottom line and, when combined with the fact that some 10%+ of all new
systems being sold include these modems, the otherwise beneficial aspects
of the new code just can't outweigh the impact of this problem.
