I've come across a few of my users with KTX branded modems over here, who
only connect at a maximum of 33600 according to my PM3 running 3.8.2c2
I've had them run MDU, which gives the following results, indicating that
the modems might really be GVC modems with Austalian'ised firmware, and also
what appears to be really ancient firmware.
These are external modems too.

I've been to 808hi.com and haven't found anything there, and the Australian
distributors (www.edge.com.au) website appears to be down at the moment.
