(PMOD) WebTV with a 56K modem refusing to connect

I got a WebTV user, that has one of the new models, I guess it has a 56K
modem in it. Unfortunately, she lives about 40,000+ feet away from our
switch, in an area that I know isn't able to connect at 56k. At the moment,
the little bugger doesn't connect at all. She swears that she has our
number entered correctly, I have put a call trace on her line to make sure
the WebTV is actually dialing the right number. I have to wait for her to
get home from work in order to make sure. Does anybody know anything about
these modems. Is there anyway to adjust them, like tell them to forget
about trying 56k? I looked at webtv's website and didn't find anything
useful. I even used the WebTV viewer and pulled up their customer support
site, asked it about the modem and all it told me was that A modem is a
device for connection 2 computers or Internet devices together. Not much
help :)
Any Help would be appreciated, Thanks.
Patrick
