Hmm, time to either have them bring in the computer or go out and visit
them.

Can you see if there is even a connection when using DUN? Like do they
send username or does it drop before that?

Most times when the modems negotiate and tcp/ip is either not loaded or
incorrectly linked the connection will immediately drop.

Without knowing if a hyperterminal connection works, this is difficult to
trouble-shoot. You'll need to know if it's DUN that is screwed or if it's
the modem itself.
