Tim,

We went out this past week and bought a whole slew of modems for internal
testing purposes. One of which was an HSP Micromodem (packaged in a HiVal
box). Since we have been having so many problems with these and other
modems connecting we thought we would save some trouble and set up a
testing box here in house with these modems. One thing that I found with
the HSP is the system reqs are EXTREMELY high! The HiVal box says a P200+
for minimum reqs! I got it to work ok on a machine using an AMD PR166 with
64 megs of RAM but I would say that it the BARE minimum. If your customer
has a lesser system or too little memory I would say that could be the
case.

Gabriel
