This one has me stumped. I've searched the archives, along with several web
sites, with no luck.
I have a customer with a Packard Bell computer with a Sound III (33.6) modem
in it. He connects to us, shows up BRIEFLY on our server as being connected,
then abruptly disconnects. The reason for disconnect (as given in my Radius
logs) is "Lost Carrier"). I've tried comma's and lowering his
Recieve/Transmit buffers. I tried one init string in Extra Settings that I
found in the archives of this list (+ms=11,1, something that ended in
28800 - I can't find it now), but that didn't work.
I suspect it may be his phone lines, but he has had Bell South out to check
his lines. They claim the lines are OK.
I'ld appreciate ANY help anyone might have, even if the answer is to
seriously limit his connect speed. I think this customer would be happy just
to be able to connect and surf.
Please copy me on responses as I recieve the digest version of this list.
Thanks,
