(PMOD) Deaf modems

What is the best way I can spot a "Deaf" modem on a PM3?
IE. User dials in, modem goes into handshake but the server
side modem ignores the tones coming from the client-side
modem and acts as if there isn't a modem there at all.

Obviously, I can do a "sh modems" but I haven't seen any high
call numbers on the counters. Any ideas, short of doing a
sh m0, sh m1, etc on all my PM3's?
