0xb = 11 = SIGSEGV = segment fault?

Just guessing.

We've seen that when a user enters their login name as 'johndoe@aa.net'
and we had our default realm pointing to the same radius server. It would
loop for a while and then crater.

Our fix was to remove the DEFAULT realm (I believe).

Just a guess.
