The LAS extensions of Merit RADIUS (enhanced AAA server) are licensed
for commercial use. So there is no "next Merit release with it's LAS
extensions" per se. Merit servers run on Linux and lots of other
platforms and the encrypted passwords are built in. The detection
of simultaneous use counts is part of the enhanced AAA server.
