I had similar problems when I first installed my PM30e. Modems =
downloading speeds going down to a grinding halt. I fixed this problem =
by playing about with the init string for the modems. Now their all OK =
and download speeds are normal.

I have had 8 out of 15 USR 33.6's go out since we bought them. Mostly =
they
won't accept incoming calls (they connect and then hang up), or the =
outgoing
calls connect at full speed, but then transmit slowly and sporadically.
What a pain.
