PM2e gateway: have to retype it to get it to work

Hello,
I have a few PM2e-30s. One in particular, the last of 3 at one POP, has
been giving me trouble. I have to retype the gateway in using PMconsole
every once in a while, because people will dial in (including myself) any
they won't be able to access the web outside our router.

Example:
Today I was testing an account with a static IP. I dialed in and could
reach my web server, but then I couldn't get to say Lycos. I set the
gateway from its hostname to the IP address on my side on the ethernet.

At then I could go anywhere. Weird??
