In the book _Exploring_Expect_ the author of both the program and the
book, Don Libes, says that the latest version, or at least a pointer to
it, can be obtained from ftp://ftp.cme.nist.gov/pub/expect/README. You
could also use a search engine - that is how I found the page originally.
I have checked my bookmark, first time in a long time, and found the same
problem you did. If you ASSUME a programming error as I did and remove
the second slash from between the server and the file name -- it will
work. If you are so inclined you can report the problem to the webmaster.
