Octets are essentially the same thing as bytes. It's just internet
terminology versus memory terminology, I think. "octet" means 8 bits
in a datastream, "byte" means 8 bits in memory, with a few minor
technical differences.

It's unix datestamp format. number of seconds since midnight, 1st jan
1970, if I'm not mistaken.
