Since it looks like you really want to pass AppleTalk between the two Ethernets,
here are some options:

1) Set up a filtering bridge between the two segments and let only AppleTalk
packets through (802.3 types AAAA03080007809B and AAAA0300000080F3 if memory
serves me correctly). The DECbridge 90 will do this.

2) Get IP encapsulating AppleTalk routers such as GatorBoxes or FastPaths and
put one on each segment. Set them up to tunnel AppleTalk packets through IP so
that the Portmaster will pass them through.

3) Move the server off of the Ethernet segment on the other side of the router.

4) Get a different router that understands AppleTalk.
