Although you probably *could* do this with a PM, why not set up your
Modem Manager software to do a reset or at least a reconfig after each
disconnect. Ours are set to reconfig the modems on loss of DTR or on
loss of carrier.

You could probably come up with some kind of hack based on a Unix box
running a cron job every half hour that goes out and polls the PM to see
which ports are inactive, and has it send a command out those ports. I
think it'd be ugly though. :)
