Yes, typically this means you have a pmconsole connection up. We only
allow one pmconsole "style" connection at a time. Close your pmconsole
and try again.

You can use pmconsole or pminstall, and yes, that's actually documented
properly - Chapter 2 I think.

I don't know the actual numbers, but there is a limit (currently) when
using pmconsole. It's a bug, filed and being worked on. If you
configure your filter table from the command prompt interface it's
almost limitless.
