I've got an NT machine dialed up to one of the portmater ports (P29). From
the NT side, it's set up to do simple routing and have tested it and from
that side it passes the test.
I need to set up static routing to the port, but it's not working correct.
I'll do a show route and I'll get :
Command> show route
Destination Gateway Flag Met Interface
--------------------- -------------------- ---- --- ---------
0.0.0.0 205.129.216.1 NS 1 ether0
205.129.216.101 205.129.216.101 HL 1 ptp4
205.129.216.102 205.129.216.102 HL 1 ptp3
205.129.216.6 205.129.216.6 HS 1 ptp29 <-- dialed up
NT machine
205.129.216.107 205.129.216.107 HL 1 ptp2
205.129.216.113 205.129.216.113 HL 1 ptp5
205.129.216.122 205.129.216.122 HL O 16 Unknown
205.129.216.26 205.129.216.26 HL 1 ptp28
205.129.216.0 205.129.216.254 NL 1 ether0
(the .6 machine is the nt machine).
So I do a remove route 205.129.216.6 and then do an add route 205.129.216.6
205.129.216.1 (.1 is our router) and I get this
Destination Gateway Flag Met Interface
--------------------- -------------------- ---- --- ---------
0.0.0.0 205.129.216.1 NS 1 ether0
205.129.216.101 205.129.216.101 HL 1 ptp4
205.129.216.6 205.129.216.1 HSC 1 ether0 <---new route
205.129.216.102 205.129.216.102 HL 1 ptp3

205.129.216.113 205.129.216.113 HL 1 ptp5

205.129.216.0 205.129.216.254 NL 1 ether0
So when I do a ping I get :
C:\WINDOWS >ping 205.129.216.6
Pinging 205.129.216.6 with 32 bytes of data:

I've tried adding another route (.6 to .6) but it doesnt get added to the
route table.
what do I need to do to make this work?
