I noticed that all of my 4 PM's (rev. 3.3.1 and 3.3.2 release) are attempting
to open tcp connections to the pmd port (port 1642) to both my radius
servers every 20-30 seconds.
I've found a discussion in the archives that happened around New Years
(Hi Wozz! :), indicating this will happen if just ANY ONE port on the
PM is set to 'Login Service = portmaster' (in.pmd).
Well: none of the ports on the PMs are set to anything but telnet:
To make sure, I did a:
set all service_login telnet
reboot
Still, the PMs attempt to connect to the in.pmd port.
a.) Why is that ?
b.) why do they try it to the radius servers (very unlikely to run in.pmd,
as opposed to the default host and hosts allowed in the appropriate
filter) ?
