So the question of the day is "Will this be supported when the unit is
released for sale in a couple weeks, or is this a planned future enhancement?".

It would be very costly to order a 23B+D circuit, and then call back to get
it changed to 24B. If memory serves me correct, in BellAtl (MD) locally
they change $1400 for PRI orders. Sure hate to blow that type of $$ on a
conversion, but would like to have the extra channel..

But isn't that what the 10-port modem cards are for?? 6x10 = 60 modems
or a fully populated 2xE1 circuit..
