You want to use an IP gateway and you have two choices.

1) Use the IP address of your LAN's gateway to the internet. This would be
the same ip that is found in the Portmaster's global settings for IP gateway.

2) Use the IP address of the Portmaster's ethernet interface. If you have
multiple portmasters then you will want to use the 'set reported_ip
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' command to have the additional portmasters report
themselves as the same ip allowing to have a common ip set in the client's
gateway setting.

NOTE: The following terms are often used for the same meaning
IP gateway
gateway
defualt route
defualt gateway
route of last resort.
