Not exactly like ComOS. I don't know about the rest of you, but I like to
keep my terminal servers packet filtered away from the net...so even if
security holes are found in ComOS (remember the old telnet reset/reboot
one?) people would need an account at our ISP (or to hack their way into
our net...or abuse ftpd....) to take advantage of them. Hopefully, this
eliminates most hackers.
My (vague) impression of ChoiceNet is that it runs as a daemon on your
unix host, which probably isn't packet filtered away from the net, and has
lots of users running around on it. It's kind of like MS Frontpage. They
distribute binaries only and suggest running it as root. Boy am I glad
they don't support Linux.
