I've completed about ten PM2 upgrades from 2.4 -> 3.04 -> 3.3.2c1 with
varying degrees of success using a WFW 3.11 486-50 portable via a
3com ethernet pcmcia adapter. It seems as though the more traffic
that is going through the PM2 at the time the upgrade is downloaded,
the more apt the PM2 will be destroyed in some form or another.
Doing the upgrades with no traffic is generally successful, but
doing them with traffic generally ends up with a configuration error
that will cause the PM2 to hang at some point during the reboot.
I've seen the hanging problems with the above upgrades, and on
other PM2's that were simply upgraded from 3.1.4 to 3.3.2c1. Don't
have a clue as to whether something strange is going on with the
PC or with the PM2. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
